River of Light (now available for Kindle preorders)
Fresno Bakersfield Ingersoll has a horrible name, she's moved every one of her almost eleven years, and she can hear babies who have yet to be born--an ability forbidden by her family. There is nothing normal about her life and a normal life is all that Fresno wants. Resolutely, she changes her name, moves in with her stable grandmother, and determinedly ignores the songs of the babies.
Years later, Fresno's carefully constructed normal life is shaken when her college roommate's pregnancy calls forth her hidden baby sensing ability...along with an astonishing guide. After her long-absent father resurfaces, her mother reveals past trauma, her under-age brother starts hanging out at casino lounges, and her grandmother drops a bombshell, Fresno has to question what "normal" really means and whether it's a path she wants to follow.

In the Pockets of Dreams by Wendy Schultz
Dave Peltier, a 26 year-old computer systems representative, is, according to his own view, an ordinary guy. When a painting purchased from Astrella's Antiques and Curios catapults Dave into a powerful dream experience, it also triggers a long-suppressed talent from his childhood. As Dave's ordinary life is forever changed, he is forced to rethink who, or what, he might be and whether the woman he loves will be able to accept him.
Where to find "In the Pockets of Dreams"

On the horizon
What was to be book number two, "Home of the Dragonfly," was completed, edited and ready for publication and I was one hundred and seventy pages into another book, "Road of Polished Stones," when I got excited about a different idea and wrote "River of Light," which is scheduled for publication on Feb. 29, 2024. Leap Day!! Maybe "Home of the Dragonfly" will see publication if I realize enough money from "River of Light," but I am already at work on a very, very different novel about a child abduction. No title yet.
"Home of the Dragonfly" tells the story of a nine year-old faith healer who loses her faith and builds a life without the help of religion, God or angels. It follows Mary-Kate/Hosanna Watling Paulette Falkner Chapman on her journey from credulous child faith healer to betrayed teenage fugitive to determined self-reliant adult who believes in nothing but her own abilities. Some of the characters and elements from "In the Pockets of Dreams" appear like Easter eggs in the novel.
"Road of Polished Stones," also borrows characters from "In the Pockets of Dreams." Orphan Train riders, Barry and Tom McGrath find a home in Texas, but after a tragic accident, Barry launches a search for his birth father which takes him across 1920s America, meeting all manner of scoundrels and saints. Barry knows what "family" means to him, but he may find out that family is also something you build.
